Our Team
We are not currently advertising for any new staff members, however, we are always keen to meet like-minded people who feel they would belong in our Hippy Kids Family. If you would like to be considered for any future positions, please feel free to contact us.
Beccy
Founder, Manager, Childminder, Designated Safeguarding Officer and SENCO. Qualifications include Level 3 SENCO, Level 3 Childcare, HND Performing Arts. Beccy is Mum to 3 teenage girls and has been childminding since 2007. She opened the Playschool in January 2024. Beccy understands the importance of good partnerships with parents and the trust involved with placing your children in our care. She works at both settings with the children for a large proportion of the week.
Charlie
Founder, Manager, Childminder and Forest School Leader. Charlie’s qualifications include Level 3 childcare and Level 3 Forest School Leader. In a previous life Charlie worked at camp America and also as a chef! He joined the childminding business in 2009 to spend time with his 3 daughters and opened the Playschool in January 2024. Charlie is a huge advocate of outdoor play and forest school adventures.
Eve
Deputy Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Qualifications include Level 3 childcare and many many CPD courses. Eve has a wealth of experience working with children for many years and has 7 children of her own. She joined Hippy Kids in May 2023 and her youngest child who is not so little anymore was cared for at the Purple house as a baby.
Vicky
Playschool Room Leader and joined Hippy Kids in December 2023. Vicky is Level 3 trained and has 6 years of experience working in nurseries in Brighton and Hove. She is a Mum to Tim, an avid forest school advocate and massive eco warrior. She also has experience of nursery life in Norway and is bilingual.
Lily
Lily is our apprentice working towards the Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification. She is Beccy and Charlie’s eldest daughter and has grown up surrounded by children at the Purple House. Lily loves learning about child development and working with children of all ages.
Kim
Kim joined us in May 2024 and is a Senior Early Years Practitioner. She is Level 3 trained. Kim has a wealth of experience and extensive training in all aspects of child development and safeguarding. She has a puppy at home called Pedro.
Giulia
Senior Early Years Practitioner. Giulia joined Hippy Kids in 2016 as a Level 2 apprentice and is now a Qualified Level 3 Early Educator. Giulia has a pet dog at home called Laika and enjoys walking her in her spare time and working on the renovation of her camper van.
Vicky-Ann
Early Years Practitioner and Mum of 3 girls. Vicky-Ann has been a part of Hippy Kids for 3 years now. She spends her working days at our Playschool setting and is the most playful adult you will ever meet.
Harley
Senior Early Years Practitioner, Level 3 trained. Harley has lots of experience and has worked in nurseries for 5 years. She joined Hippy Kids in March 2024. Harley is our baby whisperer and can perform magic at nap times!
Rain ‘Miss Sparkles’
Yoga and Mindfulness Leader, Early Years Practitioner. Miss Sparkles is a qualified yoga teacher and mindfulness expert who leads weekly sessions at Hippy Kids every Thursday. She is also Level 2 trained in childcare. She is a mum of 2 boys and has been teaching yoga at Hippy Kids for many years.
Morgan
Early Years Practitioner, Bank Staff. Morgan is Eve’s eldest daughter and works with us one day a week whilst she is studying Ceramics. She brings Creativity and Joy to Hippy Kids on Tuesdays and works at both settings.
Luci
Luci is a Mum of 4 girls and has a NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Play Work. Luci is our bank staff member/Superwoman. She joined the team in March 2024 after stalking Hippy Kids on social media!
