Our Fees
Our service is open 8am to 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 5.30 on Fridays. We are open all year round but always close for two weeks at Christmas.
To reserve a future space for your child at either of our settings, we will ask you for a retainer fee. This is to reserve the days and hours that you require childcare. It is deducted from your first invoice and is non refundable before childcare commences.
Government funded hours are available for all eligible children over 9 months old. The allowance from September 2024 is 15 hours per week. Some working families are also entitled to an additional 15 hours a week. Please contact us for further details of how we offer the funded hours at Hippy Kids.
Hourly rate (except funded hours) : £7
Pay as you go (any hours outside of our regular contract), : £7.50
Minimum session is 3 hours and the minimum number of sessions a week is two.

£4 for over 3’s
Playgroup Charge £3 for any child who attends Messy Play on Tuesday mornings
Child Sickness, Child Holiday, Bank Holiday – Full Fee Payable
In the unlikely event of no childcare available – No Fee Payable
Invoices are payable one month in advance
Term Time contracts are available upon request
The First settling in session is free.

At Hippy Kids, we offer funded hours as follows:
OPTION 1: Standalone Offer
- A) 15 Funded hours a week
PLEASE NOTE: There are a limited amount of these free spaces available
You can use all or some of your funded hours with NO FEE payable in our limited 3 hour sessions TERM TIME ONLY.
The free 3 hour sessions we offer are 1.30pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday subject to availability.
- B) Extended Funded hours for 3 & 4 year olds (30 hours a week)
At Hippy Kids, we provide the extended hours as a stretched offer equating to 22 hours a week if you are using Option 1.
PLEASE NOTE: There are a limited amount of these free spaces available
You can use all or some of your funded hours with NO FEE payable in our limited 4.5 hour sessions ALL YEAR ROUND. These free sessions are from 12.30 to 5pm Monday to Friday.
You can choose to buy non-funded hours and meals before and during these session times. Prearranged hours would be charged at £7 per hour and the cost of lunch and dinner is £4 per meal.
Snacks, drinks, sun cream, trips and activities are included. Messy playgroup will be charged at £3 on Tuesday mornings when/if your child is booked in for childcare.
OPTION 2:
A flexible use of all or some of your funded hours is made up of the following sessions and fees on any day of the week (subject to availability). These sessions are available to all children receiving funding and can be either stretched through all weeks of the year or used just during term time.
8am to 6pm £25 per day (including a maximum of 9 funded hours)
9am to 3pm £15 per session (including a maximum of 5 funded hours)
9am to 5pm £20 per session (including a maximum of 7 funded hours)
9am to 1.30pm £12 (including a maximum of 3 funded hours)
1.30pm to 6pm £12 (including a maximum of 3 funded hours)
Any prearranged, additional non funded hours charged at £7 per hour. Additional meals outside these session times are charged at £3 for under 3’s and £4 for ages 3 years up.
