HiPpY KiDs PLAYSCHOOL

Our Hippy Kids Playschool opened in January 2024 as an extension of our long standing childminding business. Our setting provides care and education for babies and preschool children under 5. We occupy the upstairs of South Portslade Community Centre and have a beautiful forest garden for the children to explore and enjoy nature every day.

We have named our setting a Playschool to intentionally emphasise our play based, child led ethos. Our Playschool is an extension of our well established childminding ‘nest’ and is now our only setting bringing all age groups together. The children in our care usually begin their Hippy Kids journey as babies, nurtured in our cosy Baby Room and then gently transition to Playschool life whilst being guided by our experienced and qualified Early Years Educators.

Our team share their time with all age groups and siblings are able to mix throughout the week, grouping together for Meal times, Free play, Messy Play, Yoga sessions and visits to the Nursing home.
